Welcome to Parallel Globe. This Help Centre explains how the platform works, how to participate in political and civic dialogue, and how to control your visibility, communications, and security.
Parallel Globe is a structured political platform designed to enable political dialogue, secure communication, and authentic civic participation.
1. Getting Started
What is Parallel Globe
Parallel Globe is a political platform where Parallel Citizens and Verified Users participate in structured political dialogue, secure communication, and civic and public discussion.
The platform is designed to preserve political and civic integrity, protect users, and ensure transparent and accountable political participation.
Creating an account
To use Parallel Globe, you must create an account by registering with your email address and completing the account setup process.
Once your account is created, you may use Parallel Globe features and CipherCall.
Profile creation and customisation
You may customise your profile by adding:
- Profile photo
- Display name
- Country
- Profile information
Your profile settings allow you to control your visibility and interactions.
Parallel Citizen and Verified User
Parallel Citizen
A standard user account that allows political and civic participation, publishing posts, and secure communication.
Verified User
Verified Users represent public actors, organisations, or institutions operating within the political and civic environment.
Verified Users may access additional political and civic features, including PoliticTalk and Opinion Polls.
Verification confirms authenticity but does not imply endorsement by Parallel Globe.
2. Country Spaces
Parallel Globe operates through Country Spaces. Each Country Space represents a distinct political environment structured around a specific country.
Every user account belongs to a Home Country Space, which defines the user’s primary political and civic environment.
Country Spaces maintain structured political dialogue, institutional clarity, and national contextual integrity.
Users may visit and access other Country Spaces in order to follow political developments in countries of interest. In these spaces, users may view content, comment, and react to posts, subject to access settings.
However, users may not publish posts in a Country Space that is not their Home Country Space. The exception is Organisations other than Political Parties, which publish globally across all Country Spaces; Political Parties remain restricted to their registered Home Country Space. To publish content in another Country Space, users must create a separate account registered to that country.
3. Posts and Civic Dialogue
Creating posts
Parallel Citizens and Verified Users may create posts to share civic content.
Moment
A Moment is a short update or highlight shared within your civic environment. When creating a Moment, you may choose its visibility level:
- My Globe — visible only to your friends and followers.
- Country — visible within your Home Country Space.
Post visibility
When creating a post, you may select who can see it:
Anyone — visible to all users.
My Globe — visible only to your friends and followers.
User Globe — visible only to selected user groups.
Comment controls
You may control who can comment on your posts:
- Anyone
- My Globe
- User Globe
- No one
Structured dialogue
Parallel Globe uses structured dialogue to maintain clarity.
Users may:
- Comment on posts
- Upvote comments
- Downvote comments
- React to posts
- Repost to their profile (with or without quote)
- Share the post
Post owners and Verified Users may have extended interaction capabilities.
4. Activity Visibility and Civic Protection
Parallel Globe uses structured visibility rules to protect civic participation.
When a Parallel Citizen comments on a Verified User’s post:
- The comment is visible within the post itself
- The comment is not automatically displayed in the Parallel Citizen’s Globe activity.
This ensures civic participation remains focused on dialogue rather than activity amplification.
Interactions between Parallel Citizens remain visible within their Globe activity.
Verified Users’ interactions remain visible to preserve public accountability.
5. Feeds and Content Filters
Parallel Globe provides feed views and filters.
Feed views
My Globe View — shows activity from your network.
Country View — shows activity within your Country Space.
Content filters
You may filter content by:
- Content type
- Profile category
These controls allow you to customise your civic information environment.
6. PoliticTalk (Live Civic Audio Rooms)
What is PoliticTalk
PoliticTalk is Parallel Globe’s live audio discussion room system designed for political dialogue.
PoliticTalk allows Verified Users to create, host and participate in real-time civic discussions.
PoliticTalk currently supports audio discussions. Video capability may be introduced in future versions.
Who can use PoliticTalk
Only Verified Users can create and host PoliticTalk rooms.
Parallel Citizens join as listeners. The host controls speaking access and may invite or grant speaking rights to any participant.
Room visibility
PoliticTalk rooms may be visible according to room settings and access permissions.
Hosts control participation.
7. CipherCall (Encrypted Audio Communication)
What is CipherCall
CipherCall is Parallel Globe’s end-to-end encrypted audio calling system.
CipherCall provides secure communication similar to encrypted calling platforms such as Signal.
Parallel Globe cannot access the content of CipherCall.
CipherCall currently supports audio calls and text chat. Video capability may be introduced in future versions.
Who can use CipherCall
CipherCall is available to all Parallel Globe users.
Parallel Citizens may use CipherCall for one-to-one encrypted calls.
Verified Users may use CipherCall for:
- One-to-one calls
- Group calls with up to five participants
Independent CipherCall application
CipherCall may be downloaded and used independently from Parallel Globe.
However, you must first create a Parallel Globe account to use CipherCall.
CipherCall remains linked to your Parallel Globe identity.
8. Opinion Polls
What are Opinion Polls
Opinion Polls allow Verified Users to create civic polls to gather structured public opinion.
Opinion Polls support civic participation and structured dialogue.
Who can create polls
Only Verified Users may create Opinion Polls.
Who can participate
Opinion participation will depend on the permissions set by the creator of the poll.
